In Vanilla WoW, raids came in massive 40-man and 20-man sizes. On Project Epoch, we've scaled these down to more focused 25-man and 10-man groups. For example, Molten Core is now 25-man, while Zul'Gurub (coming eventually) will be 10-man. Each raid sticks to a single size and difficulty, creating a balanced, streamlined experience where every player's role really matters.
Prepare for a fresh take on classic raids with reworked boss mechanics that introduce new abilities, phases, and challenges. Every raid has been enhanced with custom bosses, encounters, and reworked loot designed to challenge your raid group and push you to adapt to unexpected mechanics. These changes breathe new life into the original raid designs, offering thrilling new battles and rewards that will keep you coming back for more.
We also recognize that TBC classes need broader support when it comes to item types, which is why we've introduced Tier tokens. Tier Tokens are an exciting new feature designed to give you more control over your raid loot. You can inspect each token to see exactly which items it can be transformed into, saving you time and eliminating the need to leave the raid to check what you could potentially receive. This is especially helpful for Loot Masters to streamline the distribution process.
Rather than turning in your tokens to a vendor, you'll use a system called Reforging. This unique system allows you to take your Tier Token to a thematic location in the raid corresponding to that tier and "Reforge" it into the item of your choice. For example, to convert certain Tier 1 tokens, you'll need to be in the center of Onyxia's Lair, while other tokens from Molten Core require standing at the Rune of Warding. This same concept will apply to future Tier raids, providing an immersive and thematic way to collect your gear.
Additionally, if you ever find yourself in need of materials, Tier Tokens can be disenchanted for the equivalent loot you would get by disenchanting the actual items, ensuring that your tokens are never wasted.
Our commitment to raiding doesn't stop here. Project Epoch is hard at work creating entirely new raids, promising fresh challenges, unforgettable encounters, and legendary rewards for players who dare to take on Azeroth's greatest threats.
